AngularConnect Giveaway Called Off
I'm genuinely sorry to announce that the planned giveaway for AngularConnect tickets at a 90% discount has been cancelled.
This is a first for me. I've run numerous giveaways in the past, and each one went off without a hitch.
The initial details I got from the organizers contained no indication that the promotional discount would apply exclusively to in-person passes.
The promo banner I was given (which, thankfully, I never used) stated that the 90% discount codes were also meant to be valid for workshops. As it turns out, that wasn't the case — though I discovered this in advance. It did seem too good to be true, given how pricey workshops typically are.

As for the Conference — I naturally assumed the codes would work for virtual passes as well, just like other promo codes of this kind usually do. The possibility that this would be a problem never crossed my mind.
Once I picked the winners (both of whom opted for the online ticket), I ran the codes and found they didn't work. I contacted the organizers, laid out the situation, and even proposed to cover some of the expense myself (even though online tickets are less costly).
Regrettably, the organizers chose to stand firm on their terms and declined to make an accommodation, even with the misunderstanding on their part and the fact that winners had already been chosen.
I fully acknowledge that the organizers have the authority to set the rules — it's their event, after all. Still, I think the details could have been laid out much more explicitly from the start and handled with a bit more adaptability.
I want to thank everyone who entered, supported, or were excited to attend this giveaway.
I truly hope AngularConnect turns out to be a fantastic event, and I wish them the best — but under these conditions, Angular Space has to step away from its community partnership role.
I'm sincerely sorry for the trouble this causes, especially for the winners — I'll be contacting each of you directly with details on the consolation prize I've arranged personally.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out.
