Brandon Roberts revealed why Angular 9 leads download statistics. Manfred Steyer explored vertical architectures in his talk. Evgeniy Tuboltsev published a walkthrough for integrating WebAssembly into Angular, while NgRx 18 officially shipped.

Manfred Steyer delivered an updated version of his DDD-focused talk during the Angular Community Meetup.
He introduced the team topologies approach, categorizing four distinct team types with varying responsibilities:
- Platform services team
- Specialization team
- Supportive teams
- Value stream team
NgRx 18
The leading state management library for Angular, NgRx, has rolled out version 18, bringing compatibility with Angular 18.
Note that the Signal Store is not yet generally available. It will reach stability at a later point, so it is not officially out.
For Angular 18, install it by running npm i @ngrx/signals@next or applying the schematic with the next tag as well.

The secret behind Angular 9
Angular currently sees roughly 3.5 million downloads each week, ranking it as the third most-downloaded framework behind React and Vue.
A striking portion—about 450,000 of those—originates from Angular 9. Considering the latest release is version 18, that pattern seems odd.
Brandon Roberts traced this back to Codelyzer, which relies on Angular 9. Codelyzer was the go-to linter before TypeScript ESLint appeared on the scene.
It is probable that Codelyzer persists as a dependency in many apps despite being unused, and removing it is advisable.
The download figures indicate Codelyzer itself is at 600,000 downloads currently.
If Codelyzer disappears, Angular's totals would decline by 17%.
WebAssembly & Angular
WebAssembly makes it possible to run non-JavaScript applications in the browser, with speed approaching native performance.
Evgeniy Tuboltsev's article walks through compiling a Rust application to WebAssembly for use inside Angular. In his benchmark, the resulting code performed three times faster than the equivalent JavaScript version.
