That choice should come soon, but whether it lands in Angular v20 is still uncertain.

Sarah Drasner also pushed back on the notion that Google doesn't rely on Angular internally. In fact, she stated Angular is Google's most-used framework, countering a common misconception.
resource() RFC Conclusion
Both RFCs covering resource functions are now closed, with closing remarks from authors Alex Rickabaugh and Pawel Koszlowski. These functions derive Signals from asynchronous work, offering a low-level base function plus two higher-level variants: rxResource for RxJS integration and httpResource for reactive HTTP requests. The RFC process has already triggered API adjustments, with additional changes still on the horizon.
The request property may become params, and ResourceStatus is slated to become a union type. For httpResource specifically, there's growing interest in mutation capabilities, so users could eventually modify data as well. That's future work. The experimental label on resource functions remains for version 20, and the scale of changes there should be far smaller than what we've seen recently.
